“If there will not be a mutual recognition, there will not be an agreement”.
This was the response that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, gave to the statement of the Serbian President Aleksander Vucic, who said that Serbia will not recognize the independence of Kosovo, at least not until the presidential and parliamentary elections in Serbia, in 2022.
In a post, that was published on social media, Hoti claimed that “Kosovo remains committed to concluding all the open issues with Serbia through dialogue, which is taking place in Brussels, with the mediation of the EU”.
On September 4th in Washington, the parties committed to economic normalization under the mediation of the United States of America. The dialogue process started on March 8, 2011, following the General Resolution of the United States.
Since the beginning of the process, its form has changed from technical dialogue, to the so-called political dialogue for the normalization of Kosovo – Serbia relations.
