Rama: EU unacceptable attitude towards the Western Balkans

“EU’s differentiation towards the Western Balkans is morally, politically and logically unacceptable, but we managed to not be left behind anyone”.

Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, has accused the politics the European Union decided to follow towards the Western Balkans, by not delivering directly the vaccines to the states out of the EU.

Rama tweeted that “with diplomacy and perseverance we managed to not be left behind anyone else.” Rama added that “we won’t be stopped until we secure the last dose of vaccine we need”.

In another tweet, he stated that the conditions were difficult because of the high global demand. Meanwhile, the doses produced are still no enough.

“We have agreed with Pfizer to start the vaccination in early January!”, writes Rama.

Albania’s PM a few weeks ago flew to the US to talk about securing the vaccine. He met a representative of Pfizer-BioNTech. After the comeback, Rama declared that he had reached a deal for the first doses.

A few days ago, he met with the healthcare personnel. Rama stated that it would be them, the first ones to get the shots./AlbanianPost.com
