Meta: Serbia aims to depopulate Medvedja

President of Albania, Ilir Meta said that Serbia is aiming to depopulate Medvedja through passivation of  the addresses.

He focused on the problems created in the Presevo Valley, during the honorary ceremony  in which Muharrem Salihu was entitled “Knight of the Order of Skanderbeg”.

Meta described the passivity of the addresses as a dishonest game of Serbia in the attempt for unequal territorial corrections.

“I understand why Serbia intends to depopulate Medvedja in a dishonest game of unequal territorial corrections,” Meta said during the ceremony.

The President praised Salihu’s outstanding activity in raising the awareness of Albanians about the problems faced by the Albanians in the Presevo Valley.

“For years he has been struggling to stop a problematic process, that of our disintegration as a nation, in the extreme borders of our existence as Albanians, borders that have been constantly wrinkled in the last two centuries. It is the so-called process of passivation of addresses “, declared Meta.

Muharrem Salihu is an Albanian entrepreneur who has lived in Italy for years.

He has invested in Medvedja by helping with employment in this area, funding the researches and studies of dances, folk costumes of Medvedja and has organized scientific conferences on cultural heritage.

In the end, President Meta encouraged the establishment of a Political Council in Medvedja.
